An ad campaign about human trafficking will ends Tuesday (jul 30) with a celebration at ONroutes across Ontario.
“Project ONroute” media awareness initiative designed around human trafficking.
Tuesday (jul 30) marks the International Day to End Trafficking in Persons. An ad campaign, called ProjectONroute, had been running on screens in those service centres until today. It has been replaced by #ProjectMapleLeaf which will continue raising awareness about the problem.
Yesterday (July 30) was International Day to End Trafficking in Persons, and, it also marked the end of Project ONroute. It was a month-long awareness campaign at ONroutes across the province asking people to educate themselves about the signs and risks of human trafficking.
Project ONroute is wrapping up with a celebration in Port Hope.
This is a month-long project put on by Courage for Freedom, an organization that educates, trains and certifies front-line and community service providers on proven strategies and prevention tactics when it comes to human trafficking and sexually exploited girls.
Project OnRoute wrapped up with the launch of a new campaign…. Project Maple Leaf. Both projects aims to bring awareness to human trafficking in Canada. Human trafficking can include forced prostitution and sexual exploitation, mostly involving women and girls, but also young men — with some girls as young as 13 years old.
Thousands of people gathered across the province today to help put an end to human trafficking. What started out as an ad campaign called Project ONroute, has now grown on a national scale officially changing to #ProjectMapleLeaf.
An ad campaign about human trafficking will end today with a celebration at 12 Onroutes across Ontario. ‘Project Onroute’ will see local dignitaries, media outlets, and Ontario residents gathering together for 1 hour with hopes that those concerned will start conversations and work together to take action to change the trends in human trafficking of minor aged victims in Ontario as well as Nationally.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
