Programs

PROGRAMS are designed with support from community partners and experts for survivors by survivors. From past survivor experiences input with clinical strength-based approaches, we have created evidence-based models to empower survivors of trafficking to participate and self direct their futures. Our programs provide comprehensive opportunities, trauma-informed, and person centric, culturally responsive choices that combine mentoring, system navigation supports, personal skill development, life-skill training, and peer projects. Primary to all activities is survivor access to wellness, healing, relationship building and support network development.

Advocacy

ADVOCACY for and with survivors in all areas of their care and support is key in their safety and self directed journey. Courage for Freedom works with organizational and agency partners to ensure all survivors are given opportunity to learn what supports are and are not available. Knowing how these supports intersect, who and what circumstances qualify their availability and how to navigate them can be overwhelming and confusing. Working through timelines, with survivor asset skills ensures individual choice making to prioritize and access their immediate and ongoing needs. System navigation advocacy ensures funded service providers work together to provide opportunity for survivors personal growth. Understanding of survivor capacity in emotional, physical and mental abilities to communicate and engage support services is a matter of advocacy and agency.
