Courage For Freedom

Courage For Freedom is a survivor-led, community- based registered incorporated charity with a mission to eradicate the human trafficking and sexual exploitation of girls, boys and children (all persons). We educate communities. We train and certify front-line and community service providers with proven strategies and prevention tactics to support vulnerable victim/survivors care and healing. We lead from a position of influence to create awareness projects unifying the public, government, industry sectors and agencies to advocate, legislate, and take action in child protection and human rights.

Courage for Freedom priorities

We support survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation and their right to find freedom and restore their value and dignity. Providing system navigation and care services to meet: mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Individuals and their families experience opportunities to plan a future exiting sex trafficking with peer mentors and trauma supports that provide choices and can include horse sessions. With an expert team that is survivor-led, we work hard to offer communities and individuals ways they can engage in advocacy, education and prioritize activities with goals for prevention.

Our Impact

TRAUMA

Over 7500 in-person, virtual and horses that heal trauma sessions have been provided

SAFETY

Countless minor-aged girls, plus young adult women have been given access to safe, secure housing with ongoing transitional housing and safety planning.

TRAINING

Professionals from all sectors have gained valuable insight into skill development through our industry-specific one, two or three-day courses. Industry-specific training modules are made available.

CARE

Meeting immediate needs for clothes, food, personal hygiene and specialized items for children, pets, medical, dental, vision and transportation to individuals that are person centric and urgent.

COMMUNITY

Trained Facilitators provide our solution-focused introductory or advanced talks for community Town Hall, Group or Civic Organizational meetings. We train community partners to present their culture and their languages
